Optional audience measurement
This audience measurement notice took effect on 4 October 2026.
With your consent, Trade Price Checker uses Google Analytics 4 to estimate website and app audiences, understand social campaign traffic and count useful actions. This applies to tradepricechecker.co.uk and app.tradepricechecker.co.uk. The events include page views, website-to-app link journeys, postcode-search counts, merchant profile views and call, directions and merchant website clicks. Counts do not mean that a call was completed or a sale occurred.
Google receives a pseudonymous browser identifier and technical/event information, such as the page’s approved route, campaign labels, device/browser information, referrer hostname and action type. Our audience measurement does not send your full or outward postcode, email address, telephone number, form contents or arbitrary URL query/fragment. Optional Google analytics is not loaded until permission for this purpose is recorded. Advertising consent is not granted by this audience measurement.
The website and app share first-party analytics cookies on tradepricechecker.co.uk so a consenting browser can be recognised across both. This is an estimate of browser users, not verified people. Different devices/browsers, in-app browsers, cookie deletion, rejected consent and tracking blockers can prevent recognition. We do not fingerprint devices or infer that different devices belong to one person.
You can reject optional analytics and still use the lookup. Change or withdraw your choice through Manage consent on the website or Analytics preferences in the app. Withdrawal stops further intended analytics events, removes relevant analytics cookies on the current browser and reloads an already instrumented TPC page to unload its Google tag. Other open TPC tabs recheck the shared preference when focused, shown, hidden or on their next action/page load. Refresh other open TPC tabs after withdrawal. This does not automatically erase records already held by Google. Use our privacy contact and rights process for deletion requests.
The separate Supabase action tracker retains its established derived outward postcode area and action fields; this release does not add a persistent visitor/session identity to it. This outward area is not mirrored into Google Analytics. Functional full-postcode lookup remains separate from analytics. The existing privacy information about these separate functions continues to apply.
Google Analytics processing and any international transfers remain subject to the applicable Google terms/data-processing arrangement and our privacy process. We do not claim that all Google Analytics processing takes place in the UK.

Current property controls retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. These controls do not mean every aggregated standard report is erased after two months. Browser cookie lifetimes are separate from these retention controls.
